Unique Bachelor Party Destinations and Ideas

By TripIt • May 22, 2015 • Travel Tips

One of the advantages of having traveled to every country in the world is that you have some insider knowledge that not everyone does. As a young 30-something, I have some unique knowledge of all things bachelor parties. I have planned dozens for both friends and for business, and I think I have a pretty good idea of what I’m doing.

Now if I’m planning a bachelor party, it’s going to be a unique experience in a unique place. I believe stereotype bachelor parties are outdated and cliché. If that’s what people are looking for, I’m not the man to help. However, if they’re looking for a “Mannymoon,” aka a sort of guy honeymoon, then I can help. Here are a few unique bachelor destinations and activities that I recommend.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Let’s start with the obvious choice but not for the obvious reasons. Las Vegas is a great city to have unique experiences in. There’s so much more to Vegas than drinking, gambling and strip clubs. It’s a place where you can do things you really can’t do anywhere else in the United States.

Some of my favorite bachelor party activities in Vegas are Sky Combat Ace, where you can actually fly mini F-16’s. It’s the most intense rush you’ll ever get–true story! You can also race non-street legal Ferrari’s at Las Vegas International Speedway and get up to about 185mph, which is super intense. And if you’re a true adrenaline junkie, you can do a controlled base jump off the Stratosphere Hotel, some 900 feet in the air. Additionally, you can take helicopter day or night tours of the Vegas Strip and even fly to the Grand Canyon. Definitely not your typical Las Vegas bachelor party.

Kiev, Ukraine

When most people hear the name Ukraine, they think bad things automatically. However, not only is the capital city of Kiev safe, but it’s vibrant and fun. The hotels are top-notch, there are great nightclubs and there are some really cool activities on the outskirts of the city.

You can drive Soviet-era tanks around a field. You can shoot AK-47’s at an old Soviet military installation and do much of this while being driven around in a stretch limo with limitless vodka or other drinks of choice. The best thing about Eastern Europe is you can also hire hosts for your bachelor party. This is a person or people who accompany you and arrange things for you along the way because they speak the language and have connections all over town–it’s a must in Kiev!

unique bachelor party destinations

Dubai, UAE

Dubai is the epitome of modern opulence and indulgences. That is 100 percent true. However, if you’re looking for a truly luxurious bachelor party then Dubai and the Emirates may be the place for you and a group of your closest friends assuming they don’t mind the long flight-but why not charter a jet?

Everybody knows Dubai offers some of the world’s best hotels, but it also offers luxurious live-aboard yachts so you and your buddies can coast around the Persian Gulf or along the great beaches in the Emirates. You can ride quad bikes in the desert dunes surrounding the city and do one of the coolest skydives anywhere in the world over the custom-designed islands. If that’s not your thing, maybe just rent a Lamborghini and play the part of the desert baller, driving to Abu Dhabi in record time.
