Gregg Brockway

president and co-founder

Gregg Brockway As an online travel industry veteran, former co-founder of discount online travel company Hotwire and former president of Expedia's luxury travel company Classic Vacations, Inc., Gregg knows the ins and outs of booking and planning travel online. When he realized the rapidly growing number of online travel options and sites was beginning to conspire against his own attempts to easily plan trips, he knew that non-online-travel-experts must be having a heck of a time keeping it all straight. Thus the idea for TripIt took shape.

Prior to his work in the online travel industry, Gregg was a director at the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman and worked in the merchant banking group at Morgan Stanley & Company. Gregg received his MBA from Harvard Business School and has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences, including TravelCom, Internet World, eTravel, EyeForTravel and others on the topics of travel, e-commerce and revenue management.

Gregg's favorite vacation: Kitesurfing in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. It's an adventure sport enthusiast's dream destination. For me, there's nothing better than a great day kitesurfing, followed by a lobster and beer dinner by candlelight on the beach with my wife.

Scott Hintz

vice president business development and co-founder

Scott Hintz TripIt co-founder Scott brings years of travel, strategy and technology experience to the TripIt team. At TripIt, Scott helps us partner with other companies to spread TripIt love around the web. He's also the guy we all look at when people ask "How is TripIt going to make money?"

Prior to TripIt, Scott was Senior Vice President, Product for Hotwire and led the Product Management, Business Development and Travel Relationships teams. Prior to Hotwire, Scott was a strategy consultant for Accenture advising clients such as Chrysler, Canon USA, United Airlines, Hewlett-Packard, and Visa USA on corporate strategy, process design, and business planning. Scott received a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Scott's favorite vacation: One of my best trips was to Greece and Turkey because it was a perfect blend of some of my favorite things: good food, history, ancient ruins, beautiful islands and beaches, friendly people and low prices.

Andy Denmark

vice president engineering and co-founder

Andy Denmark At TripIt, Andy's job is to keep the site running as smoothly as a perfect vacation. A dedicated do-it-yourself travel planner, Andy packs his vacations full of sightseeing, eating and just hanging out. "For me, traveling is all about doing it like the locals and getting a flavor of what daily life is like in a given place."

Andy came to TripIt with more than 13 years of software development and operations experience. Prior to joining TripIt, Andy was director of Suites Engineering at Opsware, Inc. (formerly Loudcloud) and was responsible for the engineering strategy for product suite integration. Before Opsware, Andy was chief technology officer for the real estate portal CityRealty.com and founder and chief engineer for the Internet consulting firm Mediabridge Infosystems. Andy has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University.

Andy's favorite vacation: Two weeks in Japan, meeting my wife's extended family. I found that things don't get "lost in translation" when conversation is lubricated with lots of sake! In addition to amazing sightseeing, what made the trip memorable were the moments spent with family getting to know them, their language and their culture over some truly incredible meals.

Will Aldrich

vice president product

Will Aldrich Will brings more than 12 years of web product development leadership experience to the TripIt team. Will is tasked with making TripIt as useful, easy, and fun as it can possibly be.

Will received a B.A. from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and serves on the board of Mammoth Lakes Trails Public Access.

Will's favorite vacation: I went with my dad to Egypt in January, 2000 and the highlight was a side trip to Syria. We visited the Roman ruins in Palmyra, the formidable crusader castle "Krak des Chevaliers," and Maaloula (the last place on earth where Aramaic is still spoken). Each place was stunning and we were some of the only visitors there.

Peter Harrison

vice president marketing

Peter Harrison Peter is responsible for promoting TripIt to travelers around the world.

Before TripIt, Peter was vice president marketing for corporate travel at Travelocity which included the market-leading GetThere and Travelocity Business services. Peter graduated from Bucknell University and is an active public speaker and member of several e-commerce and marketing organizations.

Peter's favorite vacation: Australia is a close-runner up, but my wife and I just returned from a trip to Italy that we loved. We spent a week in Tuscany near Sienna eating and drinking our way through amazing medieval towns and the beautiful countryside. Then I handed-off my wife in Milan to good friends from New York, and they continued on to Cinque Terre and Lake Como. We organized the entire vacation in TripIt with everyone contributing their suggestions and plans.
