I travel mostly for business, and generally somewhere over 70% of the year. For the better part of the past decade, this travel has been almost entirely within the continental United States, yet I still manage to rack up somewhere around 100,000 miles per year. Over the past year, my travel to Europe has increased substantially, and I really enjoy the trips.
For family life, we tend to take two or three vacations a year, and they almost all involve going somewhere beyond home. We like climates with warm, blue oceans mostly, but you'll occasionally find us in mountainous regions or major cities as well (i.e. San Francisco, New York). We have one daughter who is still very little, but knows her way around airports better than most business travelers. She likes getting out and seeing new places too.
Wherever I go, I always document several aspects of every trip. I am an avid photography enthusiast and geospatial nut so I get pictures and GPS coordinates.
