Fantastic Five: Meet the unsung travel hero finalists

To celebrate Administrative Professionals Week (April 25-29, 2011) in the United States, we asked you to tell us about the unsung travel hero in your office and boy did you!

Faster than a speeding bullet, your travel heroes possess superhuman powers and the ability to wrangle unruly plane, train and automobile itineraries in a single bound. By day, these superheroes come from all walks of life: museum design, skincare, financial services, cloud computing, and even a crew of “evil” roadies.

We’re pleased to present you with our OUTSTANDING legion of travel hero finalists -

Matthew Solari of BRC Imagination Arts and his hero, Cara

“Wonder woman meets Radar O’Reilly; I would be lost without Cara. She’s always a step ahead monitoring my travel and backup options at the first hint of trouble.”

Kenneth “Pooch” Van Druten of Evil Entertainment and his hero, James

“45 roadies on their never ending quest for the perfect rock show… travel from their homes all across America to one destination to start the onslaught of 16 hour days, truck stop beef jerky, and rabid fans. A snow storm leaves thousands stranded. The show must go on. How does he get them there? Using his toolkit of TripIt, and a host of third party apps, he destroys the competition of weary eyed frequent flyers, with grace and precision.”

Dan Wasserman of Total Skin & Beauty Dermatology Center and his hero, Stephanie

“Stephanie is the most tolerant, patient, dedicated administrator one could ask for. Having to plan dozens of trips a year, with restaurant reservations, international itineraries, speaking schedules, powerpoint presentations, and the meteorological unpredictability of Southern weather she never fails to have all the information necessary for travel plans ready at a moment’s notice. Her character is humbling and she is truly a woman of valor.”

Chris Ploessel of Zumasys and his hero, Yvette

“Hiding in a dark corner of our office is a woman with travel planning super powers. She books flights with a wink of her eye, places dinner reservations with the flare of her nostrils and gets rental car upgrades with the wiggle of an ear. All of this, organized and updated to all of our 40 traveling employees. Her secret weapon? Tripit!”

Phil Weeber of Chatham Financial and his hero, Susan

“Susan cares! TripIt Pro helps Susan stay on top of all of us while we are jet setting around the world. I’m not so concerned about what’s in my wallet – but I don’t want to leave home without Susan doing my planning and TripIt bringing it to my finger tips.”

Please join us in congratulating the five finalists, who will receive a one-year subscription to TripIt for Business.
