AMEX and TripIt Make Holiday Travel Less Hectic with New Travel App

We’re excited to share the latest and greatest news that American Express has partnered with TripIt on a NEW American Express® Travel App for iPhone and Blackberry.

American Express Cardmembers* can now manage all their upcoming itineraries in one place thanks to the integration of TripIt with a suite of mobile travel tools. The app allows Cardmembers to:

  • Easily manage and access trip itineraries, using their TripIt® account.
  • Discover what’s around their gate, using data provided by GateGuru.
  • Find the best seats on a plane, provided by SeatExpert.
  • Access travel directories and more.

What’s more, Platinum Cardmembers will automatically be treated to the premium features of TripIt Pro, which also includes:

  • Instant alerts that tell travelers if their flight is on time, delayed, or canceled as well as any gate change information.
  • Alternate flight availability options with flight status and number of open seats.
  • Help them locate airport lounges that they have access to using their Platinum Card.

We’re delighted that American Express chose to develop this in partnership with TripIt.
